Geezzzz, took the Samsons off and went back to stock and lost an average of 5 MPG. I never in 3000 miles seen anything under 40 and now I'am lucky to see 40.
Are the stock pipes choking it that bad? The power really does'nt seem any different. I left the stage 1 and K&N on and it runs much cooler and the plugs are still white so its not getting killed with extra fuel. Any thoughts?
What I noticed is when I ride with stock pipes I tend to turn up the wick a little harder, thus less milage about 36 around town. With the noise makers on I tend to cool it a bit to keep the cops off my back, and get around 40 in town. (Same tune but going from SE pipes to Thunder monster baffes FWIW)
