Seems like a lot of my posts lately have been about bolt and nut sizes that I can't locate and you guys have always been very helpful.
My current request is the rear axle nut on my '17 FXDB. According to the information on Suburban Harley, it's a 24mm and I can tell you for sure it is not. I took it to several local stores looking for a socket and the closest was a 1 7/16 but there was just enough play that I think it really is a metric nut. I am going to have to order a socket at this point but I need to know the size. Can anyone help? The sticky in this section says that it's a 36mm, can anyone confirm before I spend 20 bucks?
To be honest I just use a large adjustable wrench on my rear axle nut. It doesnt need to be ape **** tight to the point of worrying about rounding the nut with an adjustable.

Yeah, that's how I got it off, reinstalling is a different issue. I try to stay away from "dad tight" on 99% of the fasteners and this is one that I wanted to be torqued to spec.
