Default Bar Advice

The drag bars (TT Style) I have now are 30 1/2 inches wide and 8" risefrom the triple tree to the top of the bars and 6 3/4 to the bottom of the bars. I want to install my 2" tank lift and was wondering if a 10" rise bar would do the trick or if it would be too much or too little. Want to get it right the first time since I will be running the wires through the bars when I replace them. Any advice would be apreciated. I own a 04 WG. Thanks.

Your best (and free) bet would be to loosen the tank mounting bolts, slide the front one out and prop up the front of the tank 2" and block it with a 2x4 or equivalent to hold it up. GENTLY move the bars back and forth through their full lock to lock range and see if the bars contact the tank at any point. If not, the 2" tank lift should be just fine. You might need a longer crossover fuel line, but the stock should have enough to clear a 2" lift.
