I'm surprised that more folks don't have the LeatherLyke bags, like I have for mine! I found them on FB, and the guy was local. When I went to look at them, he had them priced for $75, but when I saw he still had trash and nut shells in them, I talked him down to $60. The bracket he had for them was for his Honda VTX, so I had to redrill a couple holes, but they fit everything I need. I even have removable bags inside them. One side has the rain gear, and the other has a First Aid kit, so if I don't need something, like for a short trip to the store, I can take the whole bag out, and have plenty of space, and being made of Kydex, they're VERY sturdy!! Didn't even get a scratch on them when I dumped the bike in gravel on the pavement when almost stopped at the side of the road, and broke my ankle! They're also pretty easy on, easy off, with a clip inside them to hold them to the bracket attached to the bike.
I think I'd probably go with a hard bag if I was buying them. It's nice to be able to lock the bags. I'm also worried about the durability of the plastic clips that hold them closed, but so far so good.

I had a similar set of bags on my Road King Classic and those plastic snaps buckles held up well for me.
Switched up - back to Jewel BOLT bags.
The plain leather bags were getting or are tattered. I don't like the trim (jewel bolt) on these bags but these bags are in much better condition then the plain bags.
