Default Spark plug assessment

I have a 2000 FXD 88tc w/ mikuni 42 and thunder header it possibly has after market cams from the sound of it. I recently changed my plugs and after going on a 80 mile ride my plugs look black. Am I running rich ? What jets should I run ? Any suggestions or knowledge.

Go on YouTube. In the search box type in "read spark plugs like a pro". Kevin Baxter will break it down for you.

Slightly rich. Why don't you just tighten the screw a bit and lean it up?

Get rid of the shitty E-3 plugs and put regular Champions of NKG's in it.
