Fork Oil Weight?

So I'll be rebuilding my new Lowrider S front end and ive been wondering what oil weight I should go for... its a club style Dyna Street Bob so it's not a heavy bike and I'm about 160lbs. I rarely have a passenger or luggage so that's not a factor. Buddy told me to just go with 15w but that seems like it'd be too heavy for me.

Idk any feedback would be appreciated guys.

I recently swapped springs and replaced the fork seals on my Fat Bob, I weigh 220, I replaced the oil with maxima 10 weight and I am really happy with the results, hope this helps.

10w for me as well. I do have the Ricor Intimidators in my forks and they call out 10w but even without them in a lighter dyna I would still run 10W maybe 15 if you found it too soft. Heavy bikes usually run 20W but I find I like the ride better with a lighter fluid. Proper Spring rate for your weight and setup is such an undervalued aspect of the harley world. Get the right spring for the holdup and action you want and then use the fluid weight as a tuning method for damping.
