Red light
What is the round red light just to the right of the speedo needle? 2012 fat bob I'm assuming a security light? However the bike supposedly does not have security but this light will light up and turn signals stop working till the light goes off.
it happens very intermittently.
not yet sure if it has a tsm or tssm? No fob though so again I assume it's a tsm?
I guessing TSM going bad?

Check out your front brake lever
theyre well known for getting a little sticky with age, grime, and corrosion not allowing the lever to return to fully extended and press the switch that turns off the brake lights. Try bumping the front brake lever forward more or a light stab and quick release of the lever next time the light comes on. If thats the case the light will turn off immediately.
the red light on the dash is a body control module error light I do believe. At least Ive had the light come on a few times and the sticky front brake lever has always been the culprit. Another quick check to see if the lever might be the issue is to see if your lever is sticking while parked with the ignition on and see if the brake lights stay on when you gently release the lever.

As a process of elimination.
The signals stop working when the light is on.
Left side, right side or both sides?
This would indicate a
Right or left side, Bad bulb or wire
Both sides, a bad/failing TSM
