Hello i own a 2015 wide glide ...im interested in a street glide but my bike is new no kms on it ...so what is involed in a street glide conversion or even possible? Or better on byuing a street glide?
Your trying to turn an Apple into an Orange. Yours is a Dyna, the SG is a Touring Chassis. Very few interchangeable Parts. With Aftermarket Parts, Bags, Fairing etc it will be similar, but still not a Street glide.
There are pics of a wide glide converted to touring style towards the bottom of this page (pic attached): https://wedgefairing.com/gallery/harley-dyna/
Also, check out the FL-Dyna interest group on here. There's a lot of good info on what you're asking about. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/group...est-group.html
Personally, I think if you want a Street Glide, get a Street Glide. If you want the adventure of the build, go with the Dyna.
It usually ends up costing me as much, if not more, to build something than if I'd just bought what I wanted to begin with.
To contradict myself, building the bike into what you want is also a lot of the fun
You say street glide conversion . Are you just wanting hard bags and a fairing on your bike or actually the touring frame? The touring frame is notably larger.
if youre only wanting bags and a batwing faring that can be done fairly adorably. If you actually want a street glide, sell your wide glide and buy one IMO.
