I just installed new bars/risers and now I'm experiencing some weird issues.
When I go to start the bike, the starter just runs and runs and runs without turning over. Only when I give it gas does it start. Then, if I take my hand off the throttle, it dies. The only way to keep it running is to be on the throttle.
I did some electrical work when installing the Drag Specialties Mini Markers, but I'm quite confident I did it all correctly. I cut the front bullet turn signals off and taped the end of every wire to ensure they don't touch. (see photo). I installed the new mini markers using new pins/Deutsch connectors and plugged them into the turn signal plugs hidden in the neck (see photo). Turn signals work as expected.
Even when I have my turn signals unplugged, I still have the issue, so I highly doubt it was any of the electrical work I did.
I even got a new battery, installed it, and same issue. And I'm not sure if this is relevant or not, but I have a Thundermax.
