I just now took these just for you. I like it but I'm wondering if the Fat Bob strut covers could've been left on. I'd like to have original tail light mounts and keep the QD hardware.
I didn't perform the swap Bubba. Previous owner must have or had it done. I had planned on it once I found a Fat Bob I liked. Guess I just got lucky. I'd like to have someone pull a matching pinstripe on the front fender.
Congratulations on your new Fat. I always wanted to change the fender for a Fxdwg one but every day that passes it gets out of my head. I am removing or adding but always maintaining the essence of that bike.
The Fat Bob was never a model who will catch my attention, however I am in love with her.
I always thought that the Dyna family of bkes represented the best of Harley-Davidson. They are compact, handle nicely and lend themselves to numerous forms of accessorization. I felt sad when they quit buillding the standard Dyna and went to a softail design. Softails are nice, but have a higher price tax and that limits me to a used Dyna if I want to ride a Harley.
Nice machine you have there. I sure like my Wide Glide.
I've always thought that it was funny when I heard bagger riders refer to the "little" dyna, when '06 and up dynas with forward controls have more legroom than the baggers have.

I think I'm the only person I know that actually liked that era Fat Bob rear fender the first time that I saw it.
It's interesting how Harley integrated the turn signals into "Run-Stop-Turn" mode. This was done with a module that handles that job. Note that on the FXDWG, there is no stop light per se, just the turn signals that triple as run, stop and turn service. My former 2011 FXDWG had the "Sparto" taillight along with the turn signals. I always liked the Sparto style. I discovered that the name Sparto came from an English motorcycle accessory company of the same name. I have a spare one that I bought from a friend. Who knows, it may show up on my FXDWG after I get through changing the Ape bars to Fat Boy style.
The nice thing about the Sparto or other taillight that sits on the rear fender is that it carries the license plate. My FXDWG has the fold-up license plate on the left side of the machine. It's a pain.

You might be. I have never really cared for the "new" style rear fenders. Actually, it's not terrible if I look at it for a while, I just liked the older style better I guess.
I took the fender off one of those and put it on my wide glide! The only thing I need now is the inner fender struts as my bobbed fender struts are a little too short.
