Default Lucky Speed Shop TRIGGER SHORTY LEVERS

Anyone running these trigger versions on their Dyna? I was going to do a 1Fngr swap but decided against it. I would think that having that trigger piece would give a little extra leverage on grip?

They look cool but I think you'd actually lose leverage with that much of the lever surface being taken up by the trigger. The pointer finger doesn't actually do much work on levers as it is too close to the pivot point so it doesn't provide much leverage compared to the second and third fingers that are further out on the lever. The trigger is just taking up space where you could put another finger. I use these https://www.speed-kingscycle.com/pro...-shorty-levers

But wouldn't the trigger give the pointer finger more "grip" and "leverage", as well as putting the other fingers a bit further out, giving them more "leverage", too? Seems to me like it would help make it easier, but maybe I'm missing something here.

That's what I was thinking. Oh well, a member here has sold me his like new "triggerless" LSS Shorties so I'm starting with that.

I cut, shaped, drilled and painted the stock levers to give me a three finger purchase; worked great, cost nothing, let me do something

It certainly gives the pointer finger more grip but no more leverage as the finger is still in the same position and force is being applied at the same distance from the fulcrum. It does give the middle and ring fingers more leverage as it moves them out, but if you don't have the trigger you can fit another finger on the lever which allows more force to be applied with the same leverage equating to more rotational force with the same length of lever.
