Yesterday I raised my fuel tank just a bit (maybe a quarter inch) to run a wire under the tank, then replaced it back in the stock location. This morning, I smelled fuel in the garage and have a puddle of gas under the bike. Looks like it's leaking from just under the tank. Any ideas what I did and how to fix it?
It's the larger O ring inside the connector that is failing. I had to do two of them this spring. Get yourself a hand mirror and a TINY hooked pick. You can fish it out in under two beers time. Just be careful not to hit the fuel release valve in the center. When you're ready to install a new one (from harbor freight or anywhere really, I can look up the size when I get home) put a little assembly lube on it and get it started in the hole. then use a long socket (maybe a 9mm, can't remember) to slowly slide it up into the recess. Double check that it's all the way in with your mirror, careful move it with your pick if need be, then install the fuel line. It will be tough to get it in the first few times (likely because the O ring I used is slightly larger than stock) but it will seal.
I've got new o rings coming. Everything I found onli said they.shoud be 14mm od x 10 mm id and 2 mm wide. Gonna tackle it this weekend when I have some free time.

Reason: Spelling
My Dyna did this last year, went to the hardware store and bought about 4 o-rings as you said 14x10x2 used a little grease and finally got the 2nd or 3rd one in (it's a fiddly process for sure and broke a couple when not fully seated) and so far no leaks.Good Luck!
