07 Dyna Low ,custom paint and extra charges ??$$$??
Beautiful bike .. maroon and cream ( classic ) colors and decals .
Anywhey I had them clean it up ( little dusty ) .
Bike has been there a since spring and they road it once to a promotion ?
Has 72 miles on it and they said its not a demo .
After looking it over I noticed the chrome cover for the fork nut missing .
The tank on top had very fine looking scratches and some polish that was not wiped off the fuel gauge cap and under the chrome center piece .
They said they no nothing abought it ? Looked like they tried to buff it .9 out of 10 people would not notice it .
Dealer or factory small blem ????
I also noticed the gas tank fitting under tank near the front had the paint cracked and a little chipped off ( no big deal )??
Also the main gas line was off .
For some reason they said it had a slight leak and they had to replace the o - ring ????
One last thing was it had a sundowner seat on it .
Dealer claims they sold the original seat to a vg custumer and just placed that seat on the bike until an original came in ??
Original sticker $17,359. Lowered on sticker to $15,400 .
After they asked me what I,d pay to own it today I thru a $13,000. price at them .
He then said if we make the deal there is a $599. charge to put it together , check it over and paperwork ??
Also a $199. shipping charge =,s $798. extra to price anyone ever herd of this or is he just trying to ad to the price ?
After he stepped in to talk to his boss ? He said $13,800. plus the $798.
I said I guess I wont own the bike today .
He said call him this fall , if its still there he might sell it to me for the $13,000.
I was told the bike books for $13,250. as verygood trade in .
And the same bike but 2008 will sell for $15850.
Any thoughts or comments ?? I,m very fussy sorry.
Espesialy like to no abought the extra $798. charges after making a deal ..
Thanks sorry so long ...

Leaky fuel system? problem.. have it completely corrected before plopping down yer dough...
and as far as when the salesperson "leaving to talk it over with the boss??"
Bah... they may very well talk about it.. "a little.." but that along with many other sales tactics are used by salesman all over the country on a regular basisespecially if they have been a salesman (esp. a vehicle salesman) of any sort for very long is all right out of the Joe Verde handbook...
Joe Verde (google it and see what you find) is a method and or way in which salespeople are trained to "sell" product. Obviously no one is twisting your arm to go into the stealer and shop forthe bike... but there are a whole host of subtilties that a salesman will "use" in order to close the sale.
You did the right thing IMO by walking... be fussy or whatever.. make them come to you.. its still YOUR money in the end not theirs.. and if they want your money make them work for it.. its thedood that goes in who has not done his homework (money is tight right now.. if you dont believe me look at the number ofresidential foreclosures happening) or who is impulsive, or just dying to have one, ...that guy... sales people love to see.. I'd wait personally... Look at it this way... if you get that particular bike then its meant to be.. if not pi$$ on it there will be others... they aint gonna stop making them tomorrow..
