It's gotta be pretty low to make the light flicker...
Could be a bad sender, or a wire shorting to the frame.
Yup there is no level sensor, just pressure. But, to be sure follow the Manuel on how to check level. Check wiring if that doesnt work replace the sensor.

I checked it guys. It was REALLY low, didnt even register on the damn dipstick!! I put a quart of Syn3, and that got it to about 1/4 the way. This is checking after running the bike for about 5 minutes.
So now im wondering if a) im losing oil somewhere, or b) is thing BURNING oil? i havent noticed any oil on the garage floor or on the ground at all, and bike seems to run beautiful. 🤷♂️
With a oil filter and oil change my '07 FXDB takes about 2-2.5 qts (can't remember exactly) to get it about half way on the dip stick. So you maybe had one quart in it.
Is it leaking or burning you asked. Could be either. No drips and the bike is clean, then burning. So...How many miles on the engine? When was the last time "you" checked the oil? You need to keep an eye on it to know.
I check my oil occasionally. Always the same level until I change it at about 2500 miles. Bike has about 20K miles on it now. (PO didn't ride it much I put about 10k on it)
They're called idiot lights for a reason.
You have to take a more proactive part in owning your bike. Checking the oil and tire pressures are basic tasks that should be done regularly.
