Default Drive Belt Sizes

I've noticed HD now has 3 different drive belt widths, with the VRod having the narrowest belt. If a VRod can run a narrow belt and it's running over a 100hp, then is it possible to do the same on a Dyna? Is it the fact that the VRod has less torque? What about the 200mm rear tire softtail? Why is smaller than a lighter bike with a narrower tire?

Default RE: Drive Belt Sizes

They change the geometry on teh design so they needed to use a thinner belt. Belt technology has probably gotten better but why change something when you do not have to? I think they used that reasoning on the Dynas. Since they went with a wider tire on the Softails they have to use a smaller belt.
