My 2016 fxdb when I am cruising in 4th gear or higher and I crank the throttle it fells like the clutch is pulled in half way for a second or two and then it starts pulling and my gear indicator will fluctuate down a gear has anybody had this problem before?

 

Sounds like the clutch is slipping. Lots of people have had that problem before.

How many miles are on it? What does the fluid in the primary look and smell like? Is your clutch adjusted properly? Any power adders?

17,000 miles on it and it has a crusher exhaust other than that it’s stock as far as I know primary fluid looks new and the clutch has been adjusted

 

clutch is not slipping first second third it does fine only when I crank it in fourth or higher

 

Still sounds like potential clutch / adjustment issues. Simple to readjust and be sure.

 

A slipping clutch usually happens in the higher gears. Do a complete adjustment by the book. At least it could eliminate that as the problem.

 

That the first signs of a clutch slipping. In higher gears there is more load on the clutch making it easier to slip. and finally it grabs.

if readjusting your clutch doesn't solve the problem, its time for a new one. Your mileage especially with stock power does seem a bit low to need a clutch, might just be your driving style though.

 

has it done this since purchased or did it just start.
