How do tell if a motor mount is bad?
Can someone tell me how tocheck if the motor mountare bad? I looked in the service manual and could not find anything on how to ckeck if they are bad.The only thingI can think of is to put a jack under the engine and put a little preasure on the engine is there a better way? Also when doing a engine alignment do you loosen the2 front and 2 side bolts on each mount or just the 2 center bolts on the front. and rear? 2006 Wide Glide with V/H big radius,PC111 and Big sucker AC.

Can't help ya with the aligning thing. But I suppose a way to check the motor mount would be to put the bike in gear, lock both brakes and slip the clutch out observing any excessive moving of the motor. This may take two people, one to do the operating and one to observe. Listen for clunking or excessive motor movement, that would be my guess.
