I never viewed the Pan American forum because those piles of crap never interested me. I never paid attention. Wow, checking the forum out just affirms why I'm not interested. Hopefully the MoCo will get it figured out to keep the RUB's satisfied but no matter what they do I'm still not buying it...
The OP made a good, well informed and educated choice. Loyalty to the brand only goes so far. No wonder.
I have a good friend who I started riding with in 1981.... He had a Honda at that time, I was on my '80 FXS....
He then got a Softail, had it for years. He also had a Street Glide for years...
These days, he goes about 3 years and buys a new bike.... just for the fun of it.. He had a KTM for several years and went on some guided "adventure trips" that he loved. He recently bought a Moto Guzzi, has had it for three months and is still finding out new stuff about it from the owner's manual. It's got a ton of tech.... He's having a ball!
This entire time, I have been riding exclusively Harley bikes, I just love Harleys... I'm having a ball!
We still ride together frequently, two, sometimes three times a month.... and we both have a ball...!!
OP, get whatever bike you would like to experience.... The key part is to stay in the wind...!
Ok, what is the name of this forum? "HD" Forums. You start a thread and everyone who has ever known someone that owned a KTM has to chime in. Glad you enjoyed your time here and if you wanted to continue to talk about Harleys great. I for one could care less about your new bike that is not a Harley.

I bet you were the hall monitor in primary school. Seems it also caused you to miss the lesson on "I could NOT care less."
