Getting ready to install my Bitubo carts and since I just rebuilt my forks last winter I'd like to avoid doing it again since it's not required by Bitubo. They suggest flushing the forks after draining but don't say with what. Any suggestions on what I can use that won't hurt the seals but still get residual oil out?
I've see kerosene, or brake clean. Depends whats on hand. Just give then a bit of time to drain off before reassembly. Leave the empty lowers inverted overnight to drain in a warm spot, then again a quick flush and some time to evaporate the solvent.

Whatever new fork oil you plan on using with the new cartridges, is what you should use to flush the forks.
Anything poured into your forks will leave "residual fluid" in the fork tubes. The only way to get 100% of the fluid out of a fork tube safely is to disassemble the tube assembly (overhaul).
Unless you disassemble and overhaul the forks, anything else other than fork oil will contaminate the new fork oil.

.
Makes sense. I need to take a look at the new recommended oil and see how it compares to what's in there now. If it's drastically different I'll just rebuild the fork legs, I mean it's not super expensive or time consuming.
