Here's some specs on TC88 cams.

Lots of similarities such as;
509 & 21
510 & 37
Doubt one would notice the difference in a butt dyno.
Take this for what it's worth.... YTestMV...
Similar bike as my TC88 with 509 against my bud's 510. Starting as slow as we could with each gear to ~70mph, I pulled away from him while increasing the distance. Not even close.
Any of these cams in a TC88 will not compare with today's Harley's, but nice bump for a drop in TC88 cam.

So....
*cough* *cough* 509 *cough*

Do you honestly think one exists? The 88 has a stock compression of like 8.6:1 on a good day. With the 37 it has a corrected compression of 7.9:1.
Torque of 91ft. lbs.? I don't think so.

This is old and I did not do the testing but the test results of the most commonly selected cams for a stock or Stage 1 TC88; draw your own conclusions. You have to remember that these are peak numbers. The test would be more meaningful if the tester would have included the dyno sheets. Seeing the torque curve would be as important, maybe more to some, than knowing the peak numbers.

I had this setup with a 4 degree key advance and 0.030 gaskets I'd believe 91 TQ given that a stage 1 should get you to about 75 on it's own. 91 seems unlikely but I got to 112 by adding decked and ported heads and domed pistons. The 37 really does need a compression over 9:1 to get what it can give though.

What setup? Which is it; "you believe 91TQ or 91 seems unlikely". Doesn't really matter related to the OP but clarity is important.

Gonna change my answer as I realized I had done more than I thought to get to 94/112 and referenced the wrong compression the 37 wants.
I had this setup with a 4 degree key advance and I don't believe 91 TQ given that a stage 1 only gets you to about 75 TQ on it's own. I got to 112 by adding decked and ported heads, a 0.030 head gasket, milled 97" cylinders, and domed pistons. That got me to 9.35:1. The 37 really does want a corrected compression over 9.5:1 to get what it can give though and the 91 TQ claim is at a corrected 8.12:1.
