I agree. It would be common courtesy to acknowledge that their question was answered to their satisfaction.

Some here start a new account and start asking questions legitimately. Then they don't show up again until they have a new problem or question. That's just how some people are. Socially awkward.

Some are newbies and start asking questions about H-D because they bought a bike and don't know jack ****. Not even how to do their own research. They start a thread with a rookies question, and instead of being satisfied with their question being answered, they ask another question, about another subject, then another subject, and on, and on. They don't realize that starting a new thread is a good thing.

Then we have the fake account Troll/Posers/Tire kickers. They don't own a Harley, don't ride a motorcycle, and have a HDF profile with no info there to identify themselves as a real Harley owner/rider. They're here to exhaust their free time and entertain themselves.

Pay attention to their questions/comments, and the threads they start, look at their HDF profile, it becomes apparent who the Posers are.

There are all kinds of people lurking about. You should see what they deal with over in the POD threads.

I think he was suggesting that 70 is mature enough to not give a crap what others think. But you’re not really demonstrating that…

Honestly, the world would probably be a better place with more people like that!
I get what you're saying. My second observation doesn't matter at all. Just a curiosity. It doesn't look like he's been on the forum since 10 minutes after he posted the question so it doesn't look like he was interested in finding any information. No big deal to me either way.

All that being said I'm probably the biggest computer idiot on Earth. Maybe there's a way that he can get on the forum and check the replies without it showing up in the "last activity" part of his public profile? I just thought it was interesting that he didn't seem to be checking the replies

Like Mchad said, maybe he just doesn't care about other people's expectations of what looks good or not. And I'm just talking about personal preference about what looks good or not to somebody. What the hell does mileage got to do with it?

If you don't log in, it won't show your activity and you can still browse. Just have to put up with more annoying advertisements/popups. Very possibly since a new member he didn't check the "stay logged in" button, or could just as easily be a one and done as suggested. Doesn't affect my life. He's the one missing out on the sometimes helpful info available here.
