I have a 2003 fxdl which came with 12 inch ohlins Hd761.1, but I want taller suspension.
I can't afford ohlins money.
Is it better to get some bung king riser blocks and use them with my ohlins.
Or buy some hagon 2810, in the height I want and my weight and sell the ohlins.
Please note
I understand longer socks does not mean more travel - I just want longer shocks.
Hagon 2810 are v well priced in the uk, made to my bike, my weight and riding style - coming in at approx Ł250, which is almost have price of progressive /bitubo, which are not to my weight, approx Ł400
Putting on longer shocks doesn't get you more travel in every case.
Check in with D K Customs on the Bitubo range perhaps.
Fully understand once I have 3 inch of travel it's just the body of the shock that's longer - I just want approx 13inch shocks.
I'm in the uk, so Hagon shocks are easier and cheaper to get, made for my bike, riding style and weight. Have looked at bitmoto and there almost double the price of Hagons 2810 series
I didn't look at location, sorry. Yes Hagon are a very good make. One important aspect of the 2810 unlike Progressive shocks is you get damper adjustment which I believe is fundamental for a good ride.

Yeah, I had them on my sportster, was v happy with performance and price.
Obv Ohlins is going yo be a better shock, hence contemplating the swing arm rise kit from Bungking
This is the one case where a lift block makes sense, BUT only if you're happy with the ride of the current Ohlins you have, and are only looking for the taller height look and increased cornering clearance.
Otherwise go with 13" shocks if you're looking for a little more ride comfort/ shock travel on top of the look and cornering clearance. And the hagons would be a great budget option.

Need to go and measure and make sure they have the maximum amount of travel, but more than happy with the ride
