Seems high to me to. Search around for lower price, when you find one tell them to match it or take your business elsewhere.

It all depends where you live, I live in san jose, ca, I went into my local HD dealership and threw a deposit down on a black denim street bob and I was quoted 16,800 otd. I started to think about it and started to feel ripped off (after reading these forums, of course), so I decided to shop around for a better price, and I must've shopped 15 dealers all around, and I even have a buddy at work who's best friend owns a HD dealership in AZ, and he thought he could get me hooked up with the bike at a much lower price, but he made the call, and said give or take a hundred bucks or two, my price of 16,800 was pretty acurate for my area. Now Im not saying thats everyones best price, but obviously it depends on your area, if you live in the middle of nowhere where they sell 10 bikes a month, they wanna move some metal, but where I live, its an area with one of the highest costs of living in the U.S. And its the truth that if your first on the street bob waiting list, like I was, and you dont want to pay 1,000 setup fee (or whatever it is), they will call the second guy on the list and he will probably pay it, and they will not feel sorry for you, or think you want or deserve the bike more than the other guy, no matter how long you've been waiting.

Well, to make a long story short, reading these forums, and all the guys saying 15k otd and all that crap stuck in my head so I grabbed my deposit back, my bike was supposed to come in in december, AND NOW I F@#KING REGRET IT!!!!!!!!!

My point is, find a dealer who treats you good, a salesman who you like and eat it, its only a couple of hundred bucks. How long will you ride this bike for??? 5 years, 10? I guarantee you, once you ride off on the bike, you will be smiling!!!

Me? well, Im just sitting here reading these stupid forums WITHOUT a street bob

Pay a couple hundred bucks and you wont be sorry man.

Yea, and look where they are getting those incredible deals, where dealers want to move bikes before they spend the next 6 months digging themselves out of the snow![sm=lame.gif] Bro, here in SoCal[sm=smiley16.gif] the dealer setups are more reasonable, and I saw an advertisement up your way at Santa Cruz H-D that led me to believe they are more reasonable. However it goes, you'll get your Street Bob and it will be worth the wait. It is the perfect California bike as the 6-Speed was made for our psychotic freeway speeds and the handling on the foothill and mountain roads is outstanding.[sm=crossbonesgif.gif]

I live in South Carolina (not up in snow) and in between alot of dealerships. Two quoted msrp or right at, one didn't ask, and the one in Myrtle Beach was high. Didn't go beyond that. Sounds like you guys are getting bent by some greedy bastards. MSRP isn't or definately shouldn't be considered an incredible deal.

Default RE: Price??

Thanks for all the advice!
I have called ALL but 2 dealers here in AZ...every one of them quoted me around the same price....$16,400. I think Chewy hit it on the nose...If I don't want it they will call the next guy in line and not worry about it. They first dealer I went to told me to go and shop arond and they would match any price...nice guys and were not jerks to me. At this point I think I am going to eat the extra $$$ and get it.

I'll keep you posted.
