Dyna Glide and authentic Harley Davidson seat or something else?

I'm just a bit confused. You're trying to put a Dyna seat on a Softail? That falls under custom. We used to say "Cussed 'em (custom) the entire time we were building it!"
where can I get help with rear tires questions looking for a good grip tire rite now I'm running a 200/55/17 metzeler but was looking into Dunlop for better traction

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you don't have a Dyna. Your bike is a softail and if you're looking up parts on Ronnies you'll want to be in the right section.
I acquired a seat and was told it is for a Dyna Glide and authentic Harley Davidson. Ive had a person tell me its not authentic Harley Davidson and its an inch too short for a Dyna glide. I dont think this person knows bikes for many different reasons. Would really like to know what i have, if you can help it would be much appreciated.
It's a "Badlander" for a 1996-2003 Dyna. The original purchaser would have been instructed to re-use the original rear bracket for all except FXDWG. For the FXDWG you would use the longer included bracket.
This is different than for Stock OE seats. They use a longer seat for the FXDWG but with the same rear bracket as the shorter FXD seat
