Inner Primary bearing

Inner Primary bearing
02 FXDWG.
I believe there may be sand in the bearing after I removed the inner primary for repairs to the shift linkage. The bearing is in great condition. I am replacing the oil seal. Is it possible to get the sand out without removing the bearing? Recommendations? Flood it with brake cleaner? Water first then cleaner?

Do not clean any bearing with water.
I would replace the bearing.

I live down a dirt road. When I pulled the inner I didn't know the amount of sand and oil on the back that was still there.
Is it difficult pulling after removing the clips? Manual is not very specific.
