I use redline shockproof. Yes you have to remove the snap ring and inner ramp to connect the cable. Or at least rotate the inner ramp to allow for connection, as per the factory service manual.
That’s what I figured. The video shows them re-using the old parts. Just thought I might be able to get the cable under the hook without removing it. Not a big deal Thanks

the clutch cable end goes into the ramp coupling. The ramp coupling slides on the inner ramp ‘one way’ like a key fitting and then spins into place.
I'm sure you already know, but thought I would mention it.
When you remove/unscrew and then install the clutch cable, either hold the nut on the cable and rotate the cover or make sure that the cable is laid out on the floor so it will rotate freely as you turn the nut. Otherwise you'll get a leak that you'll think is the O ring not sealing, but is actually the cable crimp that's not sealing anymore. Ask me how I know A little RTV type sealant and good to go.

I drained mine. There are some parts in the cover so becareful disassembling it. The exhaust isn't a big issue, one screw for the cover was a little tricky. But, I didn't have to loosen the exhaust. BTW, I refilled with Lucus Oil 20w-50. [/QUOTE]
