I've recently started noticing that the motorcycle sometimes has trouble starting, and it's happening more and more frequently with each day. It feels like the engine cranks very unevenly, and there's also a strange noise when the engine stops. I removed the primary cover and completely disassembled the compensator, everything seems fine, except that the slider (12) is not pressed very tightly against the sprocket (11). I can rotate it about 1/2 inch back and forth without much effort. If I understand correctly, the spring inside the stator has weakened. I couldn’t find the PN for the spring, probably because it’s sold together with the stator, which is very expensive, especially since the stator works fine. Are there any other solutions or aftermarket options? Thanks for help!
Mine was knocking on start ups and would knock while riding when it was hot outside. I put the upgraded SE compensator on it and it works fine now. The upgraded one has bigger spring washers and can handle the torque
