I agree, the stock handlebars are these bikes are sharp. I hate the apes that are on this one, they're 10" and over 1" thick. I have a set of stock risers so I'm actually going to put 12-14" ape hangers on this only because the cables are too long for 10s and 12s. that's the cheapest option without getting cables and stock risers/handlebars. either way I'm happy with the price I got it for. I think I can make some money off this if I choose too.

Nice bike OP. I've got an 03 FXDWG and my 76 FLH is converted to look like the 1980 FXWG with a slight rake, I definitely dig the style. I have drag bars on both of mine because of my simian style arms. I often wondered what the model like you have would look like with the duck bill rear fender like mine has. Nice thing is yours has a great motor and six speed tranny already. Enjoy the ride...

Drags definitely look better but they suck to ride. Especially with forward controls.
