When I swapped the shocks I took the frame slider tubes in the house to wash them out, there was a bunch of salt residue from the trip to WI. I tapped them against the counter to knock some water out and look what I didn't see pop out of the right one. Found it last night, it had blended in perfectly with the pattern of the marble.
Got my lock washer back where it belongs and along the way noticed that I didn't install the outside spacers for my frame sliders so that's fixed also. Got another 50 miles on her yesterday and it feels great. New riding height is better for me, and I didn't scrape anything while I was out. I did notice that I need to tighten the final drive chain though.
~600 miles in and I'm loving it. Not a leak or weep anywhere, oil still looks as clean as it did going in and she rips!
I am noticing some valve train clatter around 3k. Any suggestions on where to start looking? I installed rocker lockers during the build so it's something else?
Could be a pushrod adjustment issue, but it could just be normal. I haven't noticed any particular noises around 3k on mine but the valvetrain noise is definitely noticeable compared to a stock bike. I stopped worrying about it long ago.

It crossed my mind that it could just be new normal especially since I have no other symptoms of anything being wrong, but it's good to hear someone else say it.
