Squeaky Clutch 04 FXDL

My 2004 FXDL makes a squeaking sound every time I take off from a stop. It squeaks about halfway through letting out the clutch when I’m taking off from a stand still, seems to be coming from the primary/transmission. Any wisdom?

Year and model? How many miles? Check the fluid levels in the primary and gearbox.

2004 Fxdl 14k miles
fluids changed each year using amsoil in all three holes.

When was the last time the clutch was adjusted?

That year uses a judder spring to prevent clutch squeal so maybe it has failed...parts 15 (seat), 16(spring), and 24 (special narrow clutch plate) below.

I call it clutch squawk.

You can bead blast the steels in the clutch, change primary fluid, or might want to think about changing the frictions. A 21 year old probably has some pretty hardened friction material..
