intermitant tick
Hi all ,I have a 103 dyna fxdwg and i have this loud random tick on slow down at low revs and fathering the throttle.it has awesome compression and its not a exhaust leak ,Its still there with iit off!
i have a tune direct from dyna jet and also done it with last tune ,

Start with the simple stuff. Loose heat shields will make weird noises and can seem like they're coming from different parts of the bike.
I had a random rattle/tapping noise on my Dyna last spring, I would've sworn it was coming from the left side of the motor or primary. Turned out to be the rear pipe bracket that attaches to the frame was a little loose and would rattle on decel.

a Ticking sound can be different depending on who is listening to it and then describing it But... I have one experience with something similar.
I purchased a brand new 2014 wide glidewith the 103", in 2014 - The engine had a noise in it at Brand New, kinda like some type of metal to metal clank/click noise.
It bothered me so much that I sold the bike a few months later.
