I have not seen the fat bob, but was interested in that fat front tire and lower black legsfor my bob. Not sure if anybody knows ifits the same front fork setup as a streetbob... they both spec 49mm on the hd web. It looks to be a 180mm rear tire. Anyone know what brand of tires?? Michelin's?Any info?? Thanks.
Saw the Fat BOb yesterday at an open house. Was not impressed at all!!! If you're thinking about getting one and have not seen it yet I would set eyes on it in person first.
I got to see and sit on a Fat Bob Saturday at Jim Bailey's H-D in Fort Wayne. I was very impressed. I really like the blacked-out look and the matte paint job.
I just got mine this afternoon. Ordered it July 21st, been the longest 6 weeks of my life. Got it in Vivid Black and forward controls. We haven't had rain in about 3 weeks here, guess what, rained all day today! I spent 3 hours cleaning her up. Supposed to have a whole week of good weather here. I'll be doing my 1,000 mile service soon.
Saw one in person and very NOT impressed, especially at the price point. To each his own, but see and ride one in person before plunking down any cold cash or you might be disappointed!
I like it, but haven't seen one in person. Someone said the tire doesn't look so big and chunky in person, which is what I was hoping for, cuz the pics don't really flatter that bike, I don't like the big balloon tire look. BUT I'm really interested because the pics just give me the impression that the bike doesn't "photograph" very well.
On the price, it seems like a bargain to me, compared to the Street Bob, BUT everyone has different taste. But for a grand, if you actually LIKE: the wheels, the bobbed rear fender, a fat bob tank and console, dual disc front brakes, the flat/drag bars, dual headlight look, and the V Rod-looking exhaust, oh and having the 2 up seat and rear pegs, then HOW can you go wrong buying one? I still want to see and ride one, if I like it I'm getting it, second choice is a Street Bob, I like those too.
Does the Fat Bob have what you would consider a Wide Glide fork??
