Default Forward control questions

Hey guys, I'd like to change the brake peg(picture 1 & 2) to be like the clutch peg(picture 3)... is there a way to change that arm out to take that round peg or do I have to replace the whole forwards control? I'm new to this stuff so I'm not sure what to search as anything I've searched only came up with other stuff.

Also, the forwards controls is pretty loose.... is this normal for harleys? This is my first harley so I wasn't sure...

IF I read this right, you want the brake pedal pad to match the round peg on the SHIFTER ?

You could buy a suitable peg with a threaded shaft , then cut of the horizontal portion of the brake pedal and drill a hole in the vertical portion to accept the threads

Seems a bit sketchy to me

Yes, i would like them to match and ive heard somebody mention that exact thing by somebody else i was looking for a solution that won't be sketchy before I try that. I wasn't sure if that brake arm is proprietary to that control assembly or if I can replace just that part.

I think the shifter peg lever is too flimsy to be used for the brake pedal. There's a reason the brake pedal lever is a lot thicker than the shifter side.

I understand...maybe i was wasnt being clear. I wanted a different brake pad on the brake lever. The pad mounts differently then the shifter peg, but i want to basically changed the pad on the brake arm to match the currently installed shifter peg.

TC Bro had a whole assembly that would get the results I'd want but it's an entire assembly and it's $500 plus tax and shipping.

Unless you have the tools and confidence to do the work yourself, you'll have to look for an aftermarket solution like TC Bros. Harley does not make what you're describing as far as I know.

Gotcha...i wasn't sure if they or anybody does. Thanks for the input. Suppose I'll get a better looking brake pad until I get around to replacing the entire assembly as that might be the best option.

What's wrong with the stock brake pedal?

It works ok, just a design choice
