yes and I just finally got around to getting cams in. That portion is all done with, now I've just been trying to figure out the whole tuner, dyno portion. Seen many say just a tuner, others say, tuner and dyno. I lack knowledge in that area of what's best

Call Fuel Moto customer service. They are very helpful.

IMHO, I wouldn't spend the money on a dyno tune for a stage 2. Get a PowerVision from FuelMoto, use the tune they send you and run auto tune sessions on your own and you'll be very happy.

Curious... when did that Dealer "Flash" stop? I remember it being popular in mid 2000's

You should absolutely get a tune if you have cams, and a full exhaust system will help as well.

You can stick with your current exhaust, but swapping to a full replacement (2 -1 particularly) will make better power.

You definitely need a tuner. If it runs on the stock tune it won't run well and could run excessively lean. There's a couple ways you can do this. As already mentioned Fuel Moto (and probably others) will sell you a tuner with a pre-loaded map on it based on your setup. A 103" with 583 cams is probably a fairly common setup so I'd think they'd have a decent map. The other option is buy a tuner and have someone dyno tune it for you. In theory this is the better option as someone is actually monitoring the sensors on your bike and adjusting accordingly instead of just loading something that worked on another similar bike. In the real world on a relatively common setup like yours it might not make much, if any difference. If you are going to change exhaust do that before either the dyno tune or ordering a pre-loaded tune.

If you have a reputable Harley tuner in your area and want the maximum performance from your bike, buy the tuner they recommend and trailer it to them to do the tuning. If not then order a Power Vision from Fuel Moto with a canned tune and you should be good.

If you order a tuner from Fuel Moto they will provide you with a different tune if and when you do change your exhaust.

Based on the OPs posts, I suggest he find a tuner that sell Power Vision licenses; no need to purchase hardware/software. Licenses go for $150-$250 in my area and a full tune will run $250-$400. I agree that replacing the exhaust system with aftermarket will increase performance and that if the OP wants to change the exhaust, he should do that before the tune. Having said that, for a Stage 1 configuration, with a cam, the motor will probably tune out nicely with the V&H mufflers. JMHO

Petznick, I see you are a new member and probably have not read the forum rules, one of which you have violated by double posting. Suggest you visit the Welcome area and read the forum rules for future reference. You have a lot more replies on this same titled thread in the Dyna section so the above posters can find your thread there. I don't have the authority to merge this thread with your thread in the Dyna section but have requested another forum member to do that. Anyone following should follow the OPs thread in the Dyna section; not this one.

I would purchase the Power Vision PV 2-B tuner from Fuel Moto and let them matchA tune for you... You're exhaust will be fine because Your catalytic converters are in the mufflers, so the flow through Vance and Hines slip-ons will work quite well with the OEM head pipes..
With that 583 cam you're corrected compression is going to be 196 PSI so you will definitely need to either get the PV tuner or take it to a reputable tuner and buy the license and have them tune your bike. Myself I would go with Fuel Moto..
