Low Fuel Light Missing.

can't speak on other manufacturers but mercedes had been that way for atleast 15 years. Better for fuel pump longevity to just fill up when the light comes on. The fuel in the tank is what keeps the pump temp low. Higher pump temp result in higher resistance in the circuit which then requires higher amperage to operate.
