The 6th gear light was added to the 2007 bikes. The 2006 bikes have no light for it to turn on. So the answer would be no yours wouldn't.

I updated Mine today... As of right now im happy with it... no more decel pop (only went out for 2 short runs) Just a little gurgle 6th gear light is working!! Its about time she seems to be running great. I was getting ready to **** can these pipes and get something else

Not sure yet haven't really gotten on it ......It was coughin out the intake before. now it doesnt. Im gonna ride it some more> Id like to see what my mileage is gonna be at...
