No spark
I own a 98 Dyna fxds-conv has been running excellent until recently it lost power and some wires starting smoking so I replaced the wires no spark I have since replaced the battery, coil, spark plugs, spark plug wires ,rectifier, ignition module, starter switch; and all the circuit breakers still no spark to the spark plug I’m getting power to the coil but no spark to the plug it has got me baffled can anyone relate or help thanks
Welcome to the forum.
Replacing parts that you haven't diagnosed as faulty will drive you crazy. And make you broke.
Is there no spark in both cylinders or just one? It might also be helpful to know what wiring was smoking.

I would go through the steps of trouble shooting. I wonder if you had a wire ground out, which is why you had smoke. trying to find where the smoke came from may be best, or point to point with a meter
But lets break it down. You don't need a charging system for spark. You need good battery, coil, ignition and whatever sensors your year needs.
Doesn't hurt to change plugs or wires. Volt reg is an expense, but if it is old doesn't hurt. But the volt reg has nothing to do with this. If I was just throwing money around I would have bought an ignition. I doubt the ignition is what started this, is it still good, who knows.
Only related items I see are plugs, wire and coil. Plus you need a good battery.
On early TC you can measure voltage on the middle wire at the coil to see if it is getting there, it will have 12 volts all the time. But I am not sure about your year.
You need to understand how your bike works before you go further.

Damn, that’s a headache. Since you’ve replaced almost everything and still no spark, double-check the crank position sensor if it’s dead, the ignition won’t fire. Also, inspect the ignition switch and kill switch wiring for hidden damage since you had smoking wires. A bad ground or chewed-up harness could still be the culprit. If all else fails, test the ignition module’s trigger signal with a multimeter. Something’s killing the spark signal probably hiding in the wiring.
