Iknow this info will not help you about your particular model but I installed 4.5 inch Bikers Choice pullback risers on a 2005 WG and the wires were fine as far as my setup on a Wide Glide. I didn't like the pullback part with the WG stock handlebars though, looked funny! Also, with a 2" tank lift installed, the handlebar clamp just touched the speedo housing. SO, I just installed 3-3/4" Drag Specialties straight risers and they look great. The straight risers weigh twice as much as the pull back ones, just for info...

I have an '02 FXD, gotta be similar to an '05. I put 4.5" on mine with no problems. You'll have to unscrew your brakeline and push that way up, other than that you'll be OK. Put 24" drag bars on it like mine, then you'll have PLENTY of room and it looks cool, too:

thanks for the feedback ,i put new buckhorns on and the risers should put them just right. when i installed the bars i put a new brake line on that is long enough,in fact when im all done ill have to shorten it. iv been in the garage reworking my seat .got some memory foam and installed it in my seat ,also cut it back so ill sit back almost 3 inches.in the morning i have to glue it in place,do a little shaping and put the cover back on. did a 2 in.tank lift yesterday.got to get seat finished caus the hooters and scoters run is tomorrow.

I know with a set of drag bars it will work without having 2 add to your wiring. But you will need a longer clutch cable and brake line.

Seems like a bit of confusion, FXDC has speedo in tank panel, FXD has speedo on top clamp.
What model do you have??
I put risers on my 2007 FXDC with the standard Buckhorn bars,
and it looked silly in my opinion.
I tried mini apes, now have Lowrider setup.
No cable issues with any combo mentioned.

I put the HD pullback risers on my 2006 FXDI, with the stock handlebars.
There was no need for any addition wiring or cables. You'll have to straighten the brake line out a little, and find you want to replace it for looks.
