So I have a 2003 Dyna and Im having issue getting the starter button to work. The run stop switch works just fine. The bike starts by using a starter button on the actual starter its self. I replaced the starter relay with a new one and still nothing. I took apart the hand control buttons and checked the wires from the neck up and no issues. I manually touched the wires together to engage the starter and still nothing. Im at a loss
Yes but I checked and have no breaks in any wires up to the first connector
Did you check visually, or did you check the wiring with a VOM? The majority of electrical problems on Harleys stem from handlebar or lighting/directional signal changes.
Just wondering if you were the same person who keeps making some false posts about things and you happen to write exactly like them and if you were that person I just wanted to know what they gain from doing so.
So if you are not this person, then welcome to the forum
Often folks' first post is in the welcome section where they say "Hello, I'm (state your name) and I'm a Dynaholic!"
But that's not that big of deal.
We also love pictures of bikes and the bikes issues, like a photo of these two wires you're rubbing together!
What color is your bike and are you able to post photos, we like pictures!
That other person keeps getting deleting.

I did both but I will say Im not too sure what I should be looking for when reading with a VOM. Gray wire has 12v, black has 0 and white/black has 0. When I test gray and white/black together its got 10 volts which seems weird but maybe thats normal. I will add that I made a jumper wire from battery to starter solenoid wire (the spade with a green wire) and the bike starts up with that. So Im leaning towards a problem with my relay and up towards the handlebars. No clicking whatsoever from the relay
