I am going to purchase the V&H Shortshots Staggered for my 2007 Dyna Street Bob.
My question is has anyone had any problems with these pipes in the past pro's or con's?
Thanks,
I have had these on my bike for a long time and then removed them only because they are a little too loud for me, but they worked and looked great. I will say this, there is a little less back pressure in the chamber which can be fixed with a Dyno. Now I have a Powercommander III installed with the stage one kit installed. I went to a little less aggressive sounding exhaust. Just my preference. I have yet to sell them because I really liked them and maybe someday I will change back, for now no.
Go for the short shots man!! Great price and now they even come in black.... They're loud and that makes them awesome. I haven't heard anything bad about them from anyone I know. I went with the sideshots but thats because my girlfriend bought them for my birthday. Otherwise I'd be on the shortshots too. Go for it.
I had some rush slip ons and then changed to the v and h shorts with quiet baffle. i like them. i have them with a big sucker and pc3 but i don't have the right map. if anyone has that map or similar let me know.
when you put them on, i think you need to put the shields on first a bit loose then put the pipes into the headers and tighten the shields and head pipes in synch.
Thanks for the info guys. Right now I have the Rush slip ons , K&N Big Sucker and the V&H Fuel Pack.
I had V&H pipes on my previous bike and really liked them.
What are you lookin for out of pipes ? Sound ! Performance. ARe you planin on any upgrades in the near future? The kind of pipes you git may affect how yer bike runs later on. Do some homework before you buy.
Got 'em and love 'em - especially with quiet baffles, but they really aren't 'quiet' - LOL! Expect them to perform even better once I get the bike dynoed. Harley re-map I got ain't that close so getting some popping on decel. Friends behind me say it's cool, but afraid it's still a bit lean with Stage 1 intake installed.
