Default i need a straight answer

first i am new, and yes i have already searched the archives for prior posts.i own a 2006 street bob, and i bought it used with 5K miles on it.
it came with the screaming eagle high flow air cleaner, and has screaming eagle pipes on it. my problem is they both suck donkey *****.

i have a set of VH sideshots and i am awaiting an internal breather/bracket to mount my goodson aircleaner. i am totally new to fuel injected bikes, so my question is do i need to get the VH fuel pak, the HD PCII/remap, or nothing at all? Since the bike already had a high flow aircleaner and SE pipes, i'd imagine they sprung for the stage 1 map as well. if all i am doing is switching high flow air cleaners (which shouldn't matter) and switching pipes, do I really need to remap or get a fuel pak? anyadvice is greatly appreciated

If you install a dynojet pc111 usb,I think you will be satisfied with your performance. You should also go to a K+N filter kit, with the bigger backing plate. IMHO,the se air filter is junk.

I don't like my Fuel Pak, I'm saving for a Thundermax W/ Autotune.

You never know about people so I wouldn't "imagine" they did anything. One of theemployees at my dealer tells people they don't need a remap for performance slip-ons and the SE air cleaner. The previous owner of your bike may have been told the same thing.

Bottom line, though, I think you need to geta tuner for what you are about to do regardless of what was done previously.

If you have the screaming eagle stage 1intake K&N has a filter to fit it part # HD-0800 as far as the screaming eagle factory exhaust sold in 2006 are not more than stock pipes. I have a Vance & Hines fuel pak on mine, with the V&H fuel pak and and rush exhaust and really like this set up, but if some day I decide to change the exhaust all I have to do is go on the V&H web page print the new mode settings follow a simlpe proceedure and I am back on the rode in minutes. With nobody elses hands on my bike but me.

My dealer told methat the Rush was the closest thing to the old Screaming Eagle II pipes.

I bought my 05' Wide Glide used with a stage 1 Arlen Ness open element filter and a 2-1 exhaust. Assumed the previous owner did a re-map, but don't know for sure... I didn't care for the look of the 2-1, so I installed a set of Vance & Hines long shots this spring. I couldn't wait to fire it up and take it for a spin. No re-mapping first. After 4k miles, I decided not to have it done.

It will most likely not hurt anything to try it without a tuner first. If it runs like crap ,IE. alot of backifiring or popping, you'll know you need some sort of tuner.I tried a DFO first could not get it to stop backfiring, sprung for a SERT and had it tuned on a dyno much better.
