I actually kind of like the location of the FXD speedo. Limits your options a bit I guess but it beats tall guys like me having to look down to check our speed. Do you have the tank lift? Looks like it. How is the install?
The install is a breeze if you someone to "pass that wrench", "hold that tank", and "get another beer". Takes bout' 5 minutes to install, but I did it by myself outside in 118 degree heat index. Could have used that beer.
I took my reflectors off the first week I had the bike, along with many of the stickers.
We all have different situations, as I tend not to ride at night, as the deer wouldn't see or care about the reflectorsanyway,so my decision was a little easier.
This being said, do what you want, no need to follow the herd in either direction.
It's your personal choice, just like a helmet, which by the way is not needed in my state, but I still wear one, that is my choice.
California, as asinine as some of our laws are, doesn't even inspect motorcycles.I've taken reflectors off of literally every motorcycle and most bicycles I've ever owned.Even though I know turn signals are required and license plate lights I've run without both and not been bothered.Same thing with all that smog crap they come with nowadays.
My fork ones were taken off right away. At this point I'm afraid to remove the rear fender ones as the paint underneath may be a different shade (black denim)...
