I have decided I just don't like a speedometer. Not on the bars, or the tank. My speedo is straight up, and I like that better than stock.
Really think after this winter I am going to the Dakota digital mirrors.......... That's alotta dough, though.
Putting Flanders Sixbend bars on this winter, and I think the digital mirrors wil go well with the handlebar mod.
I really like the tank on the FXD, more than the other Dynas or Softails.......... just think the speedo ruins the tank as much as it does the handlebars, if not more so.
So I've been riding around and thinking about how I like the bike without the speedo and I've come to the conclusion that I love it. The only thing I was concerned with is the odometer. (I don't give a chit about resale, cuz I'm not selling it.) Concern was mileage as a barometer for service changes and that kind of stuff. I've stopped caring about how fast I'm going because when the wind gets unbearably loud, I figure I'm probably going too fast.
