I did a search and found a few pics, but I'd like to see pics of FXD's with 4 over and 6 over tubes all in one thread, I want something subtle for mine and cant decide.
You might notise you are gonna make yer bike top heavy and might not like the end results. Put a taller rim on front.
When you raise yer bike up you are gonna also notise its a lot harder to handle if you don't have it raked. I would consult a custom builder and do yer homework before you do it.
Thanks, I understand the rake/trail issue, Stock trail is 4.7", with4 over itwould be within the normally accepted range.
I'm 6'6" tall so I could handle the extra height.
I know there are several on this board that have the plain ole extended and I just wanta see the Pics
I'm 6'5" so I know where your coming from. I like mine extended 4" without a rake. I've had extended front ends from 6" to 21" on other bikes. Too hard to corner with the longer ones. 4" gives me a little more ground clearance so I don't bottom out on speedbumps.
Rides very good, turns feel normal, although it takes more area to turn it around in.
Handles better than stock, it always felt short and stubby before, give about a 1 inch lift in the front (handlebars and tank height)
I'm tall so thats a bonus, wheel base is 77 inches, originally it was 64.2 inches.
