I got tired of giving my fingers hell so i went and got a soft toilet brush to get around da engine & tranny. Dont have alot of crome to worry about in those areas on my sb. How do you save your fingers?[sm=feedback.gif]
I've been using a "webster" on my wheels and other hard to get to areas of my bikes for years. If you don't know, a Webster is a round soft bristle brush on the end of a telescoping pole designed to get rid of spider webs. But dip it in soapy water and you can scrub areas of you bike that your hands can't even get to.They also work great on car rims.
I was just out cleaning mine today and har a question on this same topic - not wheels though.
I get this ugly spotting on my tripple tree - water spots or some cr*p. Mother's Aluminum Polish works great, puts a shiine on it like chrome. My problem/question though, is how to get in those tiny little areas. I can move cables out of the way pretty good, but the brake line area is tough, as is some of the other nooks and crannies. I know Mother's makes a "mini-ball" and was thinking about trying that. Any other suggestions?
I'm not real **** about 'clean and shiny' it's just that if I'm gonna clean the bike, I might as well do as good a job as possible while I'm at it. I live on a dirt/gravel road, so she's dirty just puling out onto the road
