I'm on my 4th set of mirrors. Started with stock, went to the Kuryakyn Elipse which were good but I felt they stuck out too much, then went to a J&P set which stayed installed for all of 5 minutes as they shook like a paint shaker, and then I went back to HD brand and got some round mirrors. HD's mirrors are good quality.
I am not that happy with these, too big but I would let that go if I could see behind me a lot better. These just do not seem to be designed right or whatever. I am going to change them to a simpler design.
I cannot explain it but I don't trust these. The round part on the end freaksme out insteadof making more visibility. I think maybe a simpler teardrop design might be nice. =)
I just ordered a set of Maltese Cross mirrors from Steel Thunder Custom Cycles. I'm deployed so I don't have any pics mounted, but they match the theme I'm going for. Here's their site with the pics; http://www.steelthundercc.com/mirrors.html.
Hey bro, I went with HD Skull mirrors. They have a slimmer profile than the stock, but they look great and you can see more out of them than you would think.
Sweet mirrors Jake! They're perfect for your bike & theme, but if you do skulls one place then you gotta do it everywhere & I, personally just don't love skulls that much!
I agree. It's not that I don't prefer the skulls, flames, maltese crosses, or whatever. But I do think you kind of need to stay with whichever you choose if you go that route. Based on that beautiful paint job though, I'd say he's pretty well committed to the skulls - lol. Would be nice if those themed pieces came with inserts you could either choose from or choose not to add without looking like something was missing. I like the mirrors he has but the skulls would be deal breaker for me.
