Highest octane you can get. I always try to find pumps with 93 octane. It will run on 87 octane, but HD says no and I agree.
Bike will run cooler and better on Hi-test. Engine will perform better and last longer, too.
Just read my new manual and it calls to run 91 or better octane in my new Dyna Low Rider.....
Ive read it front to back , just finishesd the initial 50 mile brake in .
Now working on the 500 mile break in if the weather holds out ???
Always 93... nothing else.. my Lowrider throws one heck of a b1tch fit ifI try to feed it anything less..
Stroked motors hate pre det trust me... one night, while running 91.. it emitted a blast back through the throttle body so big I thought someone was roadside taking pictures of me from the ditch.. last time for that.. [:@]

Man, you're lucky it didn't set the air cleamer on fire. That would of madea pretty good picture, though
ANd for the octane, 91 or better. Heck, I've been know to throw in a little of the 'good gas' 100+ octane, man I love the way that stuff smells going thru a engine.
