The kit is only a good deal if you are going to buy every single piece in it anyway. If there is anything in it that you don't really want, except for maybe the belt buckle (wooohooo!), then you would be paying for something you don't want.

Oh yeah, how could I forget the H-D belt buckle?!!

Also, the windshield description on the HD website mentions "and the kit includes everything needed to install the windshield".

Would I have to relocate my front turn signalsfor a windshield?

when I bought my FaT Boy, boththe chrome girl and salesman, talked me out of it. I bought everything (except for that PRIZED belt buckle) for about $100 less than the kit.... plus,I saved another $95 by getting a rigid mount sideplate instead of the detachable one... then I saved $315, at the advice of thebusiness manager,by doing the install myself.... took all of 30 minutes including the engine guard.that says a lot about the dealership..... of course, they know I'll be back for more goodies.....
I did exactly the same thing for my '07 Low Rider. It made sense for me since I wanted to get the pieces anyway.

Dang, what dealership did you buy your scoot from? I picked up my '08 FXDC about a month ago and got none of that kind of pressure from my dealership. In fact, I got a free helmet and obligatory t-shirt along with assorted other trinkets.

No, you don't have to relocate the turn signals for the QD windshield.
Unless of course, you want to.
If you choose to do so, please follow the advice on many threads in this forum, and stay away from the Harley front turn signal relocation kit.
Just trying save you $25-$30 and another thread on what to do with them.

It just cracks me up..."essentials". If these things are truly essential, then they ought to just come with the dang bike! Granted, these are things that many people will ultimately buy for their bikes but I'd much rather just pick and choose the individual pieces that I want as I want them.
