Hi all,
I purchased my '05 WideGlide in May and came down with rhumatoid arthritus in August. My choices were : 1-Try to continue riding and risk dumping the bike if the RA hit at the wrong time,2-Sell the bike or,3-Convert it to a trike.I chose the trike. Here is my DFT trike conversion done by Turner Trikes in Raleigh,NC
Id take trike over not riding anymore either. Do the rear wheels "lean" in? Ive seen a number a real nice kits now where the rear wheels keep excellent stability in the turns, instead of fighting against you. Looks good.
Sorry you had to change from to wheels to three, but it is a better option than not riding. How is the power with the conversion?
Had a friend that had a serious leg injury that prevents him from riding two wheels. He went with a sidecar on his EG Standard. He had to go to a 100 inch engine becasue the sidecar robbed a lot of power.
Howdy, glad to hear that you were able to find an alternative to not riding. I've seen a few trikes, but never have had the opportunity to ride one. How do you like the way that it handles? Good luck with your new toy. Enjoy the ride
Great looking trike you got there....Sorry about your situation but at least you can still ride. My dad just turned a young 70 and he wants to ride again but not a 2-wheeler...He keeps talking about getting a trike...I will definitely show him your pics...Good luck and ride safe....
