Congrats Steve. That's a great bike. Just out of curiosity, when you say the RK didn't fit you, what do you mean? I sat on a RK today for the first time, and I thought it felt OK to me. I guess I'd maybe change the bars, but I was surprised that I can flat foot with no problems. I always thought a RK would be too high for me. Live and learn. One thing I did notice is that the RK is H-E-A-V-Y compared to my lowrider. That would take some getting used to. No way would I part with my lowrider though. I'd marry her if I could.

Not sure , but,the seat did not fit well for me. The bars were not for me to be honest . and i guess the looks of the heritage just jumped up and grabbed me . Pretty much like when i bought my ST BOB. it just felt perfect for my height and weight . I thought the heritage felt lighter than the king.
Ido understand the heritage will not race the twisties like the dyna. But,i just like to crusise most of the time anymore.
Then a couple weeks ago when i test drove the Heritage,wow,that was the clincher. i was shocked how well it handled. did not even feel the extra weight . I was going 70 and it felt like 40 !!
With all that being said,i will miss my Dyna too ... A lot of money but you only live twice, LOl .........
The big bags will sure be handy on the heriatge,floorboards,and windshield too .

I hope to buy an RK/RKC when the SuperGlide is paid off.
That'll be in like 2012 and I'll be old by then.

Yeah, don't believe I would go around callin' myself "Dr. Softy", too awful much.
I think $10K was an excellent trade-in price for the Bob. Delaer told me my 06FXDI was worth $7140 on trade-in. When he thinks it's worth $10K I might to decide to part with it (not).

i almost bought one of those couches in 05 but rode a wideglide, and was hooked i think the heritage is a good all around bike, hell i`m 62 and coulden`t go for the recliner just yet, have fun you won`t even feel the cold, you`ll be to excited

I always get the who-I'm-supposed-to-hate thing wrong. You'd think with half of one percent of the population licensed to ride it would be easier. I keep thinking anyone on any kind of bike is OK. D'oh! [:@]

Speaking of riding. I am mr softy now !!!! lmao !! froze my walnuts off !!! still was a great ride today !!! was way down in the 40's when i got back. a very cold 40 too !!!
deabating whether to make part one of the trip to get bike tomorrow. then ride back monday. got family where i bought the bike, so,no problem.
god,why did i make theDR SOFTY JOKE !!! you guys cut me no slack,but,i walked in to that one !!! my skin is thick and i take jokes well. got to here,right ? LOl ..
